Impetus for CDR: Data ethics as a compass – empowering companies to act in a value-oriented manner
A virtual event on 24 September 2025 from 4:00 p.m. to 4:45 p.m. with Sarah Egidos Martinez from ING Germany.
Data has long been more than just a technical asset. It shapes decisions, business models and customer trust. This impulse invites us to understand data ethics as a strategic element: as a compass that provides orientation between innovation, regulatory requirements and social responsibility. How can companies anchor ethics in practice – beyond buzzwords?
The event will be in German.

Impetus for CDR – a series of events organised by the CDR Initiative
Corporate Digital Responsibility (CDR) refers to voluntary corporate activities that go beyond what is currently required by law and actively shape the digital world for the benefit of society.
The CDR Impulse event series highlights various areas and specific applications in CDR. Each event consists of a keynote speech followed by a discussion in which participants' questions are answered. The common thread running through the series is the areas of action identified by the CDR initiative: data management, climate and resource protection, education, employee involvement and inclusion (more information here).
The CDR Impulse series takes place virtually. The dial-in details will be sent by email shortly before the event.
Recordings of past events can be found here.
