Cornelsen is one of the leading and best-known publishers of educational media in the German-speaking countries. Since 1946, the publishing house has been developing print, digital and cross-media formats and products for teaching and personal learning with a high level of didactic expertise.

Cornelsen participated in the CDR initiative's digital data cleanup for the first time in 2025 and decided to intensify the cooperation in the future.

In a joint workshop with representatives of the CDR initiative, potential opportunities and challenges were initially outlined. Subsequently, first CDR measures were identified to strengthen internal and external trust, acceptance, and empowerment through visible, responsible digitalization. The fields of action of education and climate and resource protection will be the focus of the partnership.

Education is and remains of great importance to society. Digital services, and AI in particular, are also becoming increasingly prevalent in the education sector. The responsible design of these new services is therefore of crucial importance.
