Deutsche Kreditbank (DKB) is a new member of the CDR Initiative
The CDR Initiative is delighted to welcome a new member: DKB has become a member of the initiative for corporate digital responsibility in July 2023. The initiative aims to strengthen responsible behaviour in the digital transformation.
With over 5.3 million customers, more than 5,000 employees and total assets of 121 billion euros, DKB is one of the 20 largest banks in Germany.
As one of the most sustainable banks in Germany, DKB is making an important contribution to the transformation of the German economy. On the one hand, through a business model that is geared towards sustainability. On the other hand, through responsible digitalisation that is inclusive, transparent, fair and sustainable.

"Through its high proportion of SDG-compliant loan allocations, DKB has a significant impact in the areas of Green & Social Finance. Additionally, it is the largest nationwide financier of renewable energies. For us, sustainability transformation also necessitates a responsible handling of data, the promotion of a digital mindset among employees, and specific guidelines for dealing with AI and cloud computing. These elements are particularly important to DKB to make the transformation tangible and participatory."
