Four new members join the CDR Initiative

12. Jun 2024 - Announcement

The CDR Initiative is pleased to welcome its new members: Atruvia, bitkasten, Markgraf and New Work joined the Initiative for responsible behaviour in the digital transformation in May 2024. The new members expand the scope of the CDR Initiative in terms of the sectors, digitalisation expertise and company sizes represented in the Initiative.

Atruvia AG

Atruvia is the digitalisation partner in the German Cooperative Financial Group. From data center operations to mobile apps, Atruvia crafts tailored IT solutions specifically designed for the banking industry. Security and regulatory compliance are always at the forefront, even when it comes to implementing cutting-edge technologies like smart data and AI.

In the realm of digital finance, it's clear that digitalisation and responsibility must go hand in hand. Atruvia ensures that individuals and organisations can conduct financial transactions securely – around the clock, across Germany and beyond. This commitment to security and reliability extends to sustainability as well – encompassing environmental, social, and economic considerations.

"Digital responsibility is at the heart of our business and a standard we set ourselves. Companies, especially in the IT sector, must ensure that users can move safely through digital applications - ideally in combination with the best user experience. For Atruvia, the handling of data is essential. Be it in terms of security or when it comes to using technologies such as AI responsibly. This is also linked to factors such as accessibility and climate protection."

Bitkasten GmbH

Bitkasten is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) provider specializing in the complete digitalisation of mail communication and information exchange. The goal: to revolutionise the analogue postal world with digital and sustainable solutions.

While many companies often pursue CDR goals indirectly or through complex structures, bitkasten GmbH places a strong emphasis on the direct connection between digitalisation and sustainability. This clear focus allows them to make a significant contribution to shaping a sustainable, secure, and ethically responsible digital future. Their participation in the CDR Initiative aligns with bitkasten's philosophy of promoting responsible and human-centered digitalisation.

"For us, digital responsibility means promoting a sustainable and secure digital transformation. CDR is not a question of the number of employees. We want to contribute our expertise and set new standards together to create a secure and ethically responsible digital future."

W. MARKGRAF GmbH & Co KG | Construction company

MARKGRAF is a wide-ranging construction company with over 1,000 employees and a construction output of around 400 million euros. Supported by a non-profit foundation, the company is one of the most efficient medium-sized companies in the German construction industry.

MARKGRAF has always been future-orientated and sustainable. A key focus of strategic considerations is the digitalisation of buildings throughout their entire life cycle. In this way, the "digital twin" of the physical building will play an increasingly important role in the planning, construction, operation, and disposal of buildings. The associated efficiency gains are obvious, especially for future users and in the area of urgently needed climate and resource protection. In this context, the responsible handling and protection of the data obtained from buildings, users and consumers is becoming increasingly important, especially in view of the potential offered by AI.

  • Portrait of Liborius Gräßmann

"As a founding member of EMB Value Management for the construction industry, MARKGRAF has already contributed to setting standards for value-orientated corporate management in the industry in real business life. Now it is a matter of transferring these values to the digital world - for the protection and benefit of everyone who comes into contact with them during the life cycle of a building. The cross-industry exchange within the CDR Initiative can make an important contribution to the overall social and human-centred success of the transformation processes ahead of us. We are happy to be involved here."

As a digital company, CDR is an active part of New Work's CSR commitment. With 21 million members on XING and nine million workplace insights on kununu, the company has a broad portfolio of data and therefore attaches particular importance to a complete understanding of data structures. Security in the handling of user data is the top priority here. New Work intends to continuously expand and strengthen its commitment to sustainable development and social responsibility in collaboration with the Initiative and its strong partners.
