Humans at the centre of digitalisation – survey results published

9. Nov 2023 - Announcement

On the occasion of the 4th CDR Conference on 9 November 2023 in Berlin, a representative online survey was designed and conducted by the CDR Initiative office. The purpose of the survey was to identify the attitudes and needs of citizens with regard to the topic of human-centredness.

In October 2023, a representative online survey was conducted on the role of people in digitalisation. The survey focused on the extent to which digital technologies, digital products and digital services are or should be geared towards people's needs, expectations and abilities, the extent to which technology serves people and the expectations that respondents associate with human-centricity.

The survey shows that human-centricity is a decisive factor for the majority of citizens when choosing digital products and services and that the majority of citizens are satisfied with the exemplary implementation of human-centricity by companies - but a third are not yet.

In order to strengthen human-centricity, different concerns of citizens should be taken into account. In addition, respondents state that different approaches could help to strengthen human-centredness by companies.

The results were published in German and are available here.
